About Jill

When she was little, Jill thought she would end up being a world-famous author-actress-baker while being a stay-at-home mom. Since then, Jill earned a BA in English and editing from Brigham Young University and worked as a web designer/web content developer for a couple of years. Now she’s a stay-at-home mom who tends to be a bit dramatic, doesn’t know when to shut up about writing, and occasionally will actually write.

Some of her favorite childhood books and authors that still influence her are:

    • A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L’Engle
    • Chronicles of Chrestomanci by Diana Wynne Jones
    • The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley
    • Crown Duel by Sherwood Smith
    • Jackaroo by Cynthia Voigt
    • Wildwood Dancing and Cybele’s Secret by Juliet Marillier
    • The Shannara books by Terry Brooks
    • The Abhorsen trilogy by Garth Nix
    • Nancy Drew by Carolyn Keene
    • Mary Higgins Clark
